On the link above GM_Gama has written the new rules for UWO:

Q: Are there countries that will be restricted from playing UWO?

As announced before, countries who do not belong to territorial agreement, will be prohibited from accessing the game.
Q: What is Netmarble's position for multi-client players?

One(1) account will be allowed for One(1) PC.
Any attempt to run multi-clients will be restricted firmly by technical and operational methods.
Further details are kept confidential for security reasons.

Explore, Battle and Conquer to Make History!

GM_Gama

What that means?

1. Well, it means that people from China, Korea, Japan and Taiwan cannot play the game on this server, because they dont belong to the territorial agreement.

2. You can only log in with one account per each personal computer you have.

For the dumb people: you cannot have two accounts and log in with account 1, then log out and then log in with account 2. You will get banned, because you can only log in with one unique account per computer. They will identify that you logged on with account 1 from pc 1, and if you ever log with account 2 on pc 1, their system will catch you and ban you.

You can only have 1 account. But you can have many computers. If you log with account 1 on computer 1, nothing prevents you from logging with account 1 on computer 2, or 3. But if computer 2 is used by someone else who also has an account in the game, account 2, then if account 2 was logged on in computer 2, you cant use computer 2 to log in with account 1.

This means that if your brothers or you dad like to play pirate games with you and they dont want to use your account... once they create their account they cannot log on your computer, because your computer was already reserved for your account!

This means that two or more persons cannot divide the same computer for their different accounts. IT DOES NOT MATTER IF ITS SIMULTANEOUSLY OR NOT.

At the same time, if you have account 1 on computer 1, and you also has computer 2 and you want to have a second account... account 2. You cant. Because the terms of service and user agreements has stated that you cant lie on your registration data. Each person can only have one identification data, otherwise, you are lying to them. This prevents the same person from being able to have 2 accounts, because automatically, one of the accounts would have to be registered with fake data, seing as the system will not allow you to make multiple accounts with the same name, surname, date of birth, adress, etc... right?

On the other hand if your brother/sister, girl/boyfriend, friend, roommate, etc...wants to play the game, they have to do so, with their own account, on their own computer, and once logged in once from that computer, never ever another account can log using the same computer.

It doesnt matter if you uninstall the game, clean the registry, or format your hard drive and reinstall the operational system on the same computer. Their system will prevent you from logging with a different account on the same computer!!! No way to bypass that.

At the same time, if someone who shares their internet connection with you, and have their own computer or laptop, decides to log on the game, using their unique account, on their unique computer, and you decide to do the same, from your own unique computer, with your own account, there is no problem at all.

The internet connection has nothing to do with that. Same thing with bridge connections, NAT connections, and whatever lan system you guys set up to connect both computers at one another and the same internet connection/ISP. Some ISP offer that for free, some require an extra tax for the tunneling, or extra ips, if static...

I for one like this change. Because this prevents people from logging multiple accounts at the same time from the same computer. It also is a good way to prevent multiple accounts from being used by the same user from the same computer.

Some people make more than one account. Its very hard to verify if the data represents reality, and if the user who created the account is in fact, an unique person, and not somebody making multiple accounts. This way, if the guy has just one computer, he gets caught when he tries to log with his second account, because the game will verify 'oops, I found something in his computer that was received when he logged with another account the first time... and now he is trying to log with another account, this cant be! sends alarm signal informing that someone dare to break the rules!' or "When Bob logged his account 1, the game server got the unique ID of his computer, and when account 2 tried connect, it got the same unique ID, OBVIOUSLY THE SAME COMPUTER, the system recognizes that and prevents the second account from connecting"

"sorry, but this computer has already being used for another account, contact the administration"

It is an information that you cannot manipulate. Its not like you can change your unique ID, even if you know what piece of information they use, even if you changed that, it wouldnt allow you to log with multiple accounts at the same time. It would at most, allow you to log with another account, but then you would have to change your "computer id" for each different account you have... like in... "Freelancer account manager"

If someone logs with a second account using the same computer: the second account will be prevented from logging, regardless of the first account not being logged at all, and the second account will never be able to be logged from that computer, not only that, it also means that someone was trying to break the rules, the FAQ he was supposed to know, the rules he agreed to when he made his account, and that is why the second account will be banned'

The account 1 will get punished as well? Off course, because we are punishing the player who broke the rules, thats why both accounts will be banned.

If only the second account gets punished, the player wouldnt go punished at all.

What if somebody attempts to log in the game using account 2 on computer 1 not knowing the rules? He will get punished anyway, because we cannot render the system useless based on unilateral excuses of 'not knowing the law'. Players are responsible for knowing what are the rules when they make their account and accepts the terms of service.

These rules are the necessary commitment we have to make to prevent people multiboxing FROM THE SAME COMPUTER.

Is there anything preventing people from playing with multiple accounts from multiple computers? Even if their accounts were made by their friends, but not played by them 100% of the time? Is there anything preventing one player from making multiple accounts using the same name, surname, date of birth, address, etc... knowingly that he is not allowed to log with his second account on computer 1, but he intends to do so using his computer 2?

If the system prevents people from logging with different accounts in the same computer, you know, we HAVE A SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR THAT.

Could a player with account 1+computer 1 and account 2+computer2, regardless of account 1 being made and owned by Bob, and account 2 being made and owned by Bob's friend/parent. play with both accounts if he had both computers right next to each other, with its mouse and keyboards side by side?

The account 2 is still owned by Bob's friend. It was registered with Bob's friend data. Bob's friend still owns the account and still plays the game. But off course we cant have a camera on their room to tell exactly when Bob and Bob's friend are playing together, or who is doing what. Maybe Bob's friend is cooking food, while Bob is leading the fleet to their next trade point, at wich point he calls his friend: 'Dude, we arrived, come sell your stuff and buy more stuff'.... Then Bob's friend comes, sell his stuff, buy more stuff, and gets ready and engage follow on Bob... wich then set the destination.... while Bob's friend goes back to the kitchen to finish the pasta they are cooking.

Should both players and accounts be banned under these circumstances? Off course not, because they didnt broke the ONE ACCOUNT PER ONE COMPUTER RULE. AND THE SYSTEM WAS FLAWLESS AT IDENTIFYING IF THEY DID. AT THE SAME TIME, EACH ACCOUNT BELONGS TO A DIFFERENT PERSON.

With that said. I hope we have a load of fun with Uncharted Waters Online. Read this, understand the rules, dont break them, dont get banned, have fun! Play fair everybody.
